Where Media, Advocacy, and Accountability Meet.

MTNI harnesses the power of media, evidence, and community voices to influence public discourse, advance human rights, and drive sustainable social change.

About

Working with communities, partners, and networks for social change

MTNI works alongside civil society organisations, faith-based institutions, community groups, and development partners to promote informed dialogue, peacebuilding, and inclusive social change.

History

Rooted in Community, Driven by Purpose

Media Team Network Initiative (MTNI) was established in response to the growing need for informed public dialogue, responsible media engagement, and community-driven advocacy in addressing social challenges within Nigeria and similar contexts. The organisation emerged from the recognition that media, when used ethically and strategically, can play a critical role in shaping attitudes, influencing policy, and strengthening social cohesion.

From its inception, MTNI has focused on using media, research, and strategic communication as tools for positive social transformation. Anchored in African and religious communication principles, our work emphasises culturally grounded approaches that resonate with local realities while addressing broader issues of justice, governance, peacebuilding, and human dignity.
